Leigh A. Neumayer, M.D., M.S., FACS, DABS, MAMSE, is a professor and chair of surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville and a board-certified surgeon at UF Health Jacksonville. She is the current recipient of the Methodist Medical Center Professorship of Surgery in Transplantation. Dr. Neumayer received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She completed a surgery residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona.
