Shivani Kochhar, M.B.B.S. (M.D.)

Shivani Kochhar, MBBS (MD), is an ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist at UF Health Jacksonville. With 14 years of experience, Dr. Kochhar delivers advanced, patient-centered eye care specializing in the diagnosis and management of complex retinal conditions. These conditions include diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions and inherited retinal diseases.

Dr. Kochhar completed her medical school at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, India. She subsequently received her residency training in ophthalmology from VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, India, as well as Sant Parmanand Hospital, New Delhi, India. During her training, she developed strong clinical and surgical expertise while managing a large and diverse patient population.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kochhar is actively involved in research, presenting at numerous national and international conferences and earning accolades, including award-winning presentations. She is highly proficient in advanced retinal imaging techniques and performs a wide range of procedures, including intravitreal injections and retinal laser treatments.
