About Linda R Edwards

Linda Edwards, M.D., is a University of Florida associate professor of medicine and a board-certified internal medicine physician at UF Health Jacksonville. She also serves as dean of the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville.

Edwards has been with the College of Medicine since 1985. Prior to being appointed dean, she served as senior associate dean for educational affairs, associate chair of the department of medicine, chief of the division of general internal medicine, and medical director for the Program for Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. She also served on the UF Health Jacksonville Board of Directors from 2014 to 2020.

Dr. Edwards received her medical degree at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, and completed her residency in internal medicine at Jacksonville Health Education Programs in Jacksonville, Florida.
