WIMS Awards

Women trainees and faculty members can be nominated for a variety of awards. As well, all faculty members can be nominated for the Gender Equity Advocacy Award.

WOMEN IN MEDICINE AND SCIENCE AWARD

Trainee Award

Purpose: To honor/recognize a female trainee who has shown promise for significant career achievements in clinical care, research, education, advocacy, and/or service.

WOMEN IN MEDICINE AND SCIENCE AWARD

Early Career Faculty Award

Purpose: To honor/recognize an early-career female faculty member who has shown promise for significant career achievements in academic medicine through clinical care, research, education, leadership, advocacy, administration and/or service.

Women in Medicine and Science Award

Mid-Career Faculty Award

Purpose: To honor/recognize a mid-career female faculty member who has had significant career achievements in academic medicine through clinical care, research, education, advocacy, administration and/or service.

WOMEN IN MEDICINE AND SCIENCE AWARD

Distinguished Faculty Award

To honor/recognize a senior female faculty member who has consistently demonstrated outstanding achievements in clinical care, research, education, mentorship, advocacy, administration, service and/or related activities that have brought distinction to themselves and the University of Florida Colleges in Jacksonville.

WOMEN IN MEDICINE AND SCIENCE AWARD

Gender Equity Advocacy Award

Purpose: To honor/recognize a faculty member at any stage in their career who has made significant contributions to the advancement of the careers of women through mentorship, sponsorship, allyship, and/or advocacy.
