2025 WIMS awards luncheon recognizes women physicians and allies
Advancing women in the medical space is part of the culture at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. For four years, WIMS, an affinity group, has championed women in leadership and works to facilitate career growth and support.

Winners of this year’s WIM awards are:
- Distinguished Faculty Award: Kamela Scott, PhD – Surgery
- Early Career Faculty Award: Jana Sacco, MD – Surgery; Swati Sharma, MD – Radiology
- Allyship Advocacy Award: Alexander Parker, PhD – Research Affairs
- Mid-Career Faculty Award: Reetu Grewal, MD – Community Health and Family Medicine
- Trainee Award: Rebecca Meiser, MD – Obstetrics and Gynecology
