OEA Faculty Development Series: The Color of Normal: Racism is a System, Not an Event
On Feb. 16, the Office of Educational Affairs at the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville hosted “The Color of Normal: Racism is a System, Not an Event” in conjunction with Black History Month.
Keya Locke, MD, assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology and medical director of perioperative services at UF Health North served as the speaker. Dr. Locke shared ways to promote anti-racial allyship by acknowledging the history of racism in medicine and its continued effects on marginalized groups.
